Richard Carver is a Senior Leadership and Business Advisor at Truist Leadership Institute. He builds relationships with clients and prospects to understand their unique needs, collaborate, and recommend leadership solutions that create strategic, long-term value. This high-touch and individualized experience serves as a differentiator for Truist’s clients, communities, and prospects. He has held this position since July 2023 and is a member of the Client Engagement team at Truist Leadership Institute.
Previously, Carver served as Business Banking Leader within Truist Commercial Community Bank from April 2019 until July 2023. In this role, he led a team of Commercial Relationship Managers focused on supporting small to mid-sized firms to achieve financial success. With more than 30 years of banking experience, he has also been a Commercial Banker, Market President, and Sales Technology Coordinator during Truist’s implementation of their first customer relationship management system.
Passionate about serving children with special needs, Richard serves as a board member for the Centers for Exceptional Children in Winston Salem, N.C. He also serves as the Treasurer for the Piedmont Flyers Bicycle Club, supporting fundraising efforts and local low-income families.
