Madison Hester is Philanthropic Programs Manager at Truist Leadership Institute. Madison facilitates leadership development programming from student and emerging leaders to executives. She serves as the program lead for the Emerging Leaders Certification Program which offers leadership development for students enrolled at partnering colleges and universities as part of the Leadership Institute’s philanthropic efforts. Madison has held this position since October 2019 and is a member of Truist Leadership Institute’s Leadership Development Programs team.
Previously, Madison served as a public school administrator and a National Board Certified Teacher in North Carolina for over a decade. During this time, Madison was selected for the Piedmont Triad Leadership Academy, the Aspiring Principals Leadership Academy, and Distinguished Leadership in Practice Cohort. She was recognized for exceptional improvement of student achievement with traditionally underperforming populations and for significantly decreasing discipline gaps between subpopulations.
Today, Madison skillfully intertwines her expertise in guiding diverse groups and achieving outcomes amidst dynamic environments. These extensive experiences inform her distinctive style of fostering and propelling leadership achievement.
Hester currently volunteers in her local community through public school programming and other student organizations. She was recognized for leading multiple volunteer efforts within student refugee groups and for United Way.
