Dr. Amalia Jansel is Senior Executive Consultant at Truist Leadership Institute. Dr. Jansel contributes to the design and delivery of Truist Leadership Institute programs for senior and executive leaders, facilitating transformational experiences for optimizing individual and team performance. She has held this position since April 2020.
Previously, Dr. Jansel held leadership roles in international business development, supporting experts from government, business, and academia to build career development capacity in their countries or organizations. She collaborated with teams of experts in several European and Asian countries in these endeavors, from strategy and design to implementation and evaluation. Prior, Dr. Jansel taught at Wake Forest Graduate School and Syracuse University in their counseling programs. She participated in cross-cultural and action research in career development, group work, emotional intelligence, and executive coaching.
Dr. Jansel’s career beginnings are marked by an important junction in the history of her native country of Romania—the transition from communism to democracy. Being employed by one of the first multinational corporations in Romania demanded the ability for her to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments. Dr. Jansel’s blended background and international experience offers leaders the perspective to remain resilient amid the unknown, tackle obstacles with confidence, and crystallize success.
Dr. Jansel is an author and contributing author to over 20 books, curriculums, and articles on career development, mental health, counseling, and coaching. Dr. Jansel is fluent in Romanian and English and has varying levels of fluency in German, Portuguese, and French.
