A strong believer in the importance of early development, Brittany Brown has devoted her career to making leadership education accessible to emerging leaders. During her educational tenure, Brown has worked with BB&T University in curriculum design and development and in performance architecture. She has led several digital education initiatives, including a patented leadership app with over 20,000 downloads and the Truist Financial Foundations program that has reached over 1,000,000 high school students throughout the past 10 years. She has led in the development of Truist WORD Force, an early childhood literacy game for K-2 students, released in January 2020. Her work in the digital education space has been honored by the ASTD Training and Development Conference, where she facilitated a session and was a featured author in their digital solutions magazine. She has also led a partnership with the Girl Scouts of North Carolina to develop a special Legacy patch to be earned through participation in the Legacy leadership program.
In 2014, Brown was invited to join the Leadership Institute Team with the express mission of developing a certification program to help students realize the importance of self-awareness in their leadership journey. The Emerging Leaders Certification is now being used by over 80 Colleges and Universities to guide students through the experience of self-awareness as it relates to leadership. Under Brown’s leadership, this program has certified over 14,000 students in the past 8 years. Brown and the TLI team have trained over 100 external facilitators to provide additional certification opportunities for students across the United States. Brittany continues to lead and manage student-focused digital programs for TLI.
